A petite mud frog, so small and frail,

Its vocals are what it nails.

Though its short-lived life has come as a threat,

As its recent habitats haven’t been so wet,

Just that pinch of a number,

They will be gone in summer.

How will we help our grubby friends from this disaster?

Just don’t spray every critter.

At least there will be some peace in our streams.

But will we miss their harmonious screams?
