Boundless Sorrow: Humanity's Scourge

Humans spread like a disease,
Taking more than they can give,
As I mourn and grieve,
Destruction is all I can see.
In the heart of wilderness, I see the scars of selfish schemes, a tragedy.
Once lush and teeming, now desolate and bare,
The blight has stolen life, without a care.
Where green abundance flourished, bright and free,
Now shadows linger in a monochrome sea.
Birds fled from skies once bright and clear,
Animals scampered, leaving behind shadows of fear.
Now the rivers run thick with oily spoil,
Trees reduced to mere stumps in the soil.
From grand to meek, they grasped it all,
Consumed by greed, their fatal fall.
“Where has it all vanished?” they ask, lost to their heedless, reckless act.
Amidst the dark, a gleam of light,
To mend what's marred, to set things right.
To heal the fields, once fractured through,
A hand extended, a chance to renew.
