Buddha faces

Carved Budda faces stare at me,

It’s really expensive – not for free.

Happy Buddhas, chubby Buddhas,

Wine-on-the-ear kind of Buddhas.

All types of hand-carved Buddhas hang on the string,

You can say it is the antique type of thing.

One of my oldest heirlooms,

But when Judgement Day comes, it will go to certain dooms.

Packed in a suitcase and sent to China,

Where it will be repaired and nothing would be finer. 

A Confucius Buddha lost the tip of his beard, 

- Dropped it in the fire where it was seared.

Oh well, it’s still okay,

Today on this very fine day.
