Bright, beautiful bodies sitting back to back on a branch.
They chirp and sing like nobody is watching.
When they preen themselves in a feather avalanche.
When they have made up their mind,
There's no changing.
When they are together,
They fight a lot.
When they are under a blanket,
They tie themselves in a knot.
If one of them is alone,
They shout and shout for company.
They wait and wait very grumpily,
But at the end of the day,
They find someone to talk to.
The budgie's friendship grew and grew.
