Bushfire

A spark in the bush
Setting the grass aflame.
Burning, blazing, bright as a star;
A great orange death.
No bounds for its destruction,
No mercy for anyone.
Animals can only run;
Humans try and subdue it.
Then the rain closes in,
Spraying water like a hose.
The blaze dies out,
Starting a new beginning.
