By the Seashore

Some are long, some are short
Some are smooth, some are ragged
Once alive living by the seashore
I picked it up
I tried to open it
It snapped shut
Like two hands bound together
No longer alive but with a spirit
Broken but holding on
Protection of a living animal
A world filled with colour
Sounds like the waves of the sea
An achievement
It was cruising the ocean once
Swish, swish, swish
Like a plane in the blue sky.
