Walking, running, falling,

crying as I go down

children laughing as they swim,

me not making a sound.

They splash while I cry,

smile while I weep

they watch me while I sigh,

a big sigh of grief.

But how could a jealous lake such as me,

do anything more than kill a bee

Waves like the ocean have not I,

Just that family in the cottage waving goodbye

Once they left I cry with deep sorrow

again

and again

and again

and again tomorrow.
