Climate change is disturbing

The thought of it is awakening

The miserable days getting hotter

A bright, blazing sun that feels as if it’s getting closer

The taste of the salty sweat dripping from our sunburnt faces

The new weather events, vicious like tigers

The animal custodians’ land getting smaller

And the de-populating icebergs melting killing the precious, scarce animals

Oh, the poor, poor animals

Down and down the white, dangerous iceberg goes

As it starts dropping

A heartbeat stopping

SPLASH

The icy, deadly cold water flowing around the animal’s body

The eardrum bursting, high pitch cries as it takes its last few breaths

These special animals are dying

The unhappy world is crying
