Lifted from its splendid vault
Is a lavaliere of retentiveness.
A bijou of vivacity settled in my grasp,
Primed for placement amongst my affection.

The reflected light off its silver frame
Is like the sun beaming through a camera lens.
A prayer upon hope and faith,
Captured within the emeralds’ gleam.

Its cold touch sends sound and rhythm through my soul
Like a dancer’s connection to the music.
The shaped treble clef is an artist’s swirl of paint,
Creating a beautiful captivating piece.

Its jingle of the chain and charms gives satisfaction to life,
Tasting of fulfilment and content.
The silver clasp then closes around my neck again,
And the days beginning comes to an end.
