A bundle of joy arrived in fleece
Soft and warm to sleep in peace.
Balls and bears, cover her face
Dark and wrapped, kept in place.

Material, familiar, to keep her calm
To reassure her, embrace her arms.
Holding her close she snuggles in
Cuddled up beneath Mum’s chin.

Growing older, bald and torn
Still remembered, though its worn,
Smell of comfort, from the past
Here it stays and will always last.

Neat and safe, laid at rest
In its family’s treasure chest,
Obvious love shows in every square
Generation to Generation memories shared.
