Colour

Hear the energised colours on a dull day.
They creep through the light of a shadowed sun,
listening to the sorrows of the clouds.
Turning them bright, making them new.
Watch as they revive, as they call you to change too.
Follow in the footsteps they leave.
Through the coated glass paned display,
a desperate flower holds on, naive.
Its companions previously many colours,
now depleted away.
Your choice of path is all around.
Always patient, untaken.
Yet the gift of hope in possibility begins to weaken.
As is the choice of watering the garden.
To help a delicate stem straighten.
