Colourful Page-Surfers

Opening my travelling cylinders of joy
Some of my best drawings flash back to see me,
Held in my left hand colour starts to fill empty white spaces,
Immaculate, slender, image-creating tools of pure inventiveness,
Slipping, slopping as if a multi-coloured waterslide was underneath my mini creators,
Skiing across the page like a snowboarder unlocking doodles of secrets,
Vibrant colours from brilliant blue to sensational scarlet,
Let’s hope this birthday I get some more!
