Colours

It is said that a picture is so strong,
A thousand words it is that it can paint.
But it’s the colours behind the strength,
A force which makes the need of words, faint.

All such forces in the world,
Combine to build such wonderful landscapes.
Imagine what it would be like without them,
Perhaps as boring as black and white shapes.

There is the blue, yellow, orange and pink,
Just these four will do for an amazing sunset.
Oh what a view that is,
It captures my soul as if it’s trapped in a net!

Then there is the contrasting green and red,
One is the nature and the other is the outback.
What an enchanting spell they throw;
They lure me into their captivating attack!

We don’t realise what wonders colours can do,
It is colour which fills us with emotions.
We should dearly appreciate this gift by God;
It changes our world to a whole new dimension!
