Comfort

If there is a thing in this world that is a comfort,
For me it would be a smell.
Not old and gross
But as sweet as a bell.
For many it could be different
But for me it’s all the same.
My grandpa, my love,
I can smell you a mile away.
Just now, in a confined space,
It brings a tear to my eye.
While remembering a place
But it is long ago.
Long ago in a dizzy daze,
I remember a smile
A laugh full of joy.
And just so you know,
I will miss you when you go.
But I hope that it is not for some time,
I know now, that would be a major crime,
For this world to be missing more.
For I would not have lost only one to that door
