Connecting Colonies

The wind
Whistling through the sweet Eucalyptus trees
And the Willie Wagtails singing their delightful melody
All the stress and sorrow flows out of me like a river
Now all that’s left to hear is my only remedy.
The velvety
And luscious green grass trickles along my sweaty palm, I lean back into the big
Stringy Jarrah tree and read my treasured book.
I lose focus due to the exquisite environment.
As I gaze at my surroundings around me
The first thing I perceive are ants
Straight into the centre
Of the neighbouring sapling, a colony of weaver ants.
I pick one up and admire its bold orange colour.
O' nature is so gorgeous!
