Cry of the Earth

Hear my screams, as you please

Hear my cries as you gain,

You increase in money, not wealth

But pain. You’re not just hurting me

But the living things within me.

You’re ruining me, you’re dest-

roying me for a few bucks, yet you’re not

Increasing in wealth, you're increasing in

More pain as the natural abundance of me is

Being killed for your prosperity.

See my tears as the ice melts,

Feel my pain as the earth falls.

You must stop this now otherwise,

Future generations, species of animals,

Plants my children we die due

To your selfish acts as man. As you

Commit these acts you’re losing the only thing

That will genuinely benefit you. This earth isn’t

reliant on you, but you are reliant on us.
