Warm sand at my feet
Surrounded by summer's heat
Water lapping at the shore
There’s simply nothing I love more.

Birds gliding in the sky
Silent freedom way up high
I brush against the weathered palm
And breathe in the Daintree’s living calm.

Forest leaves damp from morning dew
The air refreshing, crisp and new
Dragonflies dance over muddy expanse
I trace their path to catch a glance.

Enveloped by an ancient silence
In a place that time forgot
The Daintree and all its life inspires
Dream, observe, preserve… admire.
