The crystal river flowing,

Surrounded by the trees.

The water clear as glass,

You hear the birds and bees.

A canopy of gum trees,

Towering over everything.

If you listen closely,

You can hear galahs sing.

Marigolds colourful like a paint palette,

Each flower a different one,

Big, beautiful, blooming blossoms,

Dancing under the gleaming sun.

I sit beside the crystal river trying to relax,

My reflection is staring back at me.

As I throw pebbles in the water,

My feet come out of the clear, blue sea.

I lie down and drift off

Ever so slow,

The cool mist caresses my skin

While I watch ferns grow.
