Dazzling dangerous animals

Extinct exterminated animals,
parched land, dappled with rocks,
leather necks reaching up to the sky,
bright-backed sharks.

Turbulent cliffs with steep edges.
Rugged dinosaur backs,
arid dinosaur mouths searching 
but never finding
abyssal opulent water.
They finally found what they were looking for.
Then comes the rain,
no more arid mouths.
