Deeper into the Forest

The swirling stormy sky hovers over the saturated forest.
“CRUNCH!” Tigers tediously tiptoe through the wetlands,  
Silently searching for their prey.  
Birds in the sky, while cheetahs fly by.
Leaves fall to the ground.

Wet wintery coats, from all the water that floats.
Rivers filled up to the top, not a piece of dry ground in spot.    
Sprinkling down, from the smoky grey clouds.
“Drip drop, drip drop.”
Insects crawl, while tigers brawl.
The wind howls at the forest.

Trees chilled to the bone.
Throughout the night monkeys groan.  
Waterfalls trickle, while little snakes wriggle.    
The rainforest is home to many.
