I sit there watching the sunset

while the giant dragonflies elegantly flutter their wings.

SPLASH, DRIP, SPLASH!

They dash across the shimmering, deep, blue sea,

wings fluttering as fast as my heart beats in my chest.

BODOOM, BODOOM, BODOOM!

They quickly land on the water and then start flying again,

leaving ripples to float across the blurry, blue water

while their predators struggle to catch them,

but they're not safe for long.

The birds fly down and eat them, leaving them endangered.
