Dingoes are one of my favourite animals.
I love dingoes because they look gentle and kind
But don’t think they’re like just any dog,
Coz you’ll rarely hear them whine.

The dingo doesn’t bark,
But prefers instead to howl and growl, and yelp and snort.
They use their voices to call on their friends,
And together they roam the desert.

The dingo’s soft fur looks like the desert, light brown and cream.
When a dingo looks at me with their big brown eyes,
It just makes me wanna hug him, like in my dreams.

You won’t hear a dingo bark like an ordinary dog,
They, like wolves, prefer to howl.
They don’t just howl anytime,
But when danger strikes, you can bet you’ll hear from them!

One of the spots dingoes like to hang
Is near the beach.
The sand reminds them of the desert.

I would love one as a friend, I would call him Cash.
We would spend all our time together.
We would play fetch together and have lots of cuddles.
