Drought

As the birds chirp as loud as chimes,
but the rain never came,
as the trees sway as graceful as a swan,
but the rain never came,
as the leaves and trees sway side to side trying to find the rain,
but the rain never came,
as the frogs flurry forwards to find the rain,
but the rain never came,
as the tigers sleep like a log waiting for the rain,
but the rain never came,
as the birds in the bushes chirped all day long waiting for the rain,
but the rain never came,
when all the animals were giving up hope missing the mist,
missing the fresh taste of rain,
then the rain came.
