Dugong

Dugong lies in the water trying to hide from the hunters,  

Dugong's family has been taken away, 

bright gem in the dark 

running away  

as one by one are taken away,  

ripped from their mother's arms,  

mothers in tears 

father also in tears, while the father runs after the dugongs’ babies.

But the father was too slow, 

as he shouted “noooooooooooooo”   

the baby dugong is captured in a cage,  

for people's entertainment.  

Slowly mother and father dugong fade away,

baby dugong wishes to come out of the cage,  

he knowns that wishes don’t come true. 

Are you going to help the dugongs today?
