The moonbeams shine on birds like a spotlight,

As the wombats hide in the starlight.

Kangaroos hop from bush to bush,

While the boats sail off with a gentle push.

Kookaburras laugh in the great eucalyptus trees,

At the fish trying to eat whatever they please.

The rattlesnake slithers across the dry, arid ground,

The koala climbs a tree without any sound.

But the sound and joy starts to fade all away,

The flowers and trees stop to sway.

Smoke starts to fill the air,

People start lighting fires without any care.

The country starts to fall,

Until it is no more.

Because of the people on this planet,

The last tree falls with the last pomegranate.

Bit by bit the world falls apart,

No more people have a heart.

The world will fall because of us,

Climate change is a problem we have to discuss.
