Fur as starry as the endless sky,

as the sun shines through the twirling trees.

The ferny, forest floor awakens as wind sings.

Could this be their last day?

White splotches rival the beauty of the stars.

Water slithers across the river's floor.

All these natural wonders.

Will they stay here... forever?

Once-luscious trees burnt to ashes,

as birds sung their serenading songs.

The quoll hiding from each footstep.

When will they lose their way?

Coat as elegant as the finest silk.

Fire blazing, destroying what they call home.

Orange devouring each piece of green.

Is this their end?
