Echoes of the Bushland

In the eucalyptus trees they dwell,
The adorable koalas with stories to tell.
Their homes are shrinking, their food source in decline,
The koala's future is now on the line…
Behind those eyes, a struggle unseen,
As their homes are destroyed by logging machines.
The koalas cling to branches, in search of food,
Their main diet of leaves, in the forest they brood.
But as the trees vanish, their choices grow slim,
Their survival depends on our actions, on a whim.
Bushfires, threats they face each day,
Their once abundant population slowly turns grey.
Climate change, deforestation, and disease,
Are all contributing to their rapid decrease.
The koalas suffer, their innocent souls,
Caught in the flames, their fate takes its toll.
Rescuers rush in to save those in need,
To nurse them back to health, to help them succeed.
Their numbers may dwindle, but their spirit stays strong,
A symbol of hope in a world so wrong.
