Emily

A strawberry bush, a swaying tree
A teddy bear standing next to me
Fur as gold as the setting sun
Brown eyes as smooth as smooth as a burger bun
A shiny nose, two furry feet
That walks with me along the street
She is alive, yet she is not
She lay next to me inside my cot
She still sleeps with me upon my bed
She soothes the tornado in my head
She’s like a lullaby, a song
She’s never lies or says I’m wrong
If she left, I would cry and cry
I’d only wish I’d said goodbye
Even though she come from a dollar store
A sack of gold is worth less not more
Wherever she is I will always know where
She’s Emily, my teddy bear.
