Emma Gorge

One giant piercing pool of water like frost,
Clashing against hot springs, heating the water's edge.
Constantly in shadow from the gorge walls.
Vast sheets of vibrant green hanging high above,
Creeping down the walls to touch the water.
Drips from the roof fall like constant rain.
Hidden from sight through the rocky bushland terrain,
Revealed to those who search for it.
And once the rough trail ends,
The view shows the ravine's reward.
The waterhole reveals pure serenity,
Framed by coarse sand and stone.
Icy water falling down the cliffs' droplet waterfalls,
And a slow river, leading toward the pool,
A tranquil piece of Western Australia.
