Eucalyptus tree

From a distance… I heard a little tweeting coming from the tree and a loud lawn mower coming from the distance. The wind in the eucalyptus leaves swaying like the ocean.

Close up… The tree smelt like sap and fresh eucalyptus leaves. The bark felt like wrinkles on an old grandmother's face.

Above me… Branches and eucalyptus leaves shining like the sun. Birds chirping in the winter breeze. The blue sky shining like the ocean.

Below me… I heard the heavy wind crashing the leaves into the tree. Leaves getting blown on the fresh-cut grass. Parts of bark falling off into my hands.
