Every Rose Has its Thorns

Delicate, sweet like perfume,
its aura is present but deniable,
petals are soft, clean fresh linen,
suitable for a rose bed,
coloured in with heaven's pencils,
slowly fading darker,
pristine, elegant, the princess of its kingdom,
patches, match like puzzle pieces,
but every rose has its thorns.
