Extinct Animal Haiku

Thylacines are strange
They are very hard to find
Hunting prey at night.

Dodos are so strange
They lived on a small island
And they could not fly.

All quaggas had stripes
And they lived in Africa
Like today zebras.

Great auks were so big
They only lived on islands
Sailors hunted them.

Passenger pigeons
They flew in humongous flocks
But they went extinct

Moa’s were quite big
Their home was in New Zealand
They were killed for food

Huge woolly mammoths
Roaming cold Siberia
Then they went extinct.
