Fire

A spark awakes,
Fire flickering, taunting through the night,
With every evil lash, fire crackles higher, higher
Slithering like a sinister snake.
It holds death, fear and desire,
A flickering thing of golden wisdom, fire,
It holds harm in its hands,
Destroying life, love and lands
But if you look into those eyes of gold,
A thief of truth and love be told.
Like a big shark thrashing through the night
Burning, blazing, cackling bright
Flickers blaze without a care,
Lighting up the nighttime air
Ovens' breath swallows the night,
A big, burning bully high and bright,
Fire the beast that ate it all, fire now a blood-red wall.
But through all the despairing, catastrophic mess
Fire has eaten and gone, fire has stolen away with all that is left.
