A flower, pink and maroon, slowly starting in its bloom

A singing black cockatoo with an elegant plume

A delight it is to be in spring

The Regent Honeyeater elegantly soaring wing to wing

The rain is trickling down the numbats’ fur softly

The petals of gentle flowers are very lofty

The beautiful country shines of every colour

Forget me not blue

The sunflowers’ yellow hue

Every matchstick banksia was blanketed in dew

The Corroboree Frogs on the leaves gleamed lightly

Every joyous child is smiling brightly

The flowers’ petals are open to the sun,

In all its glory, it's proudly ablaze

Looking at the country, the mist that is enveloping numbats, casts a haze

The bilbies are clambering through the grass while deer are frolicking with their fawn

Now the surging prussian blue river serenes at dawn
