Footy Final

I remember when Lakers where playing in the preliminary final
We were playing against Sebastopol
I was playing in the ruck and it was pretty evenly matched
Although it was no were near even on the scoreboard
We had worked so hard every week at training
We were training 2 nights a week and sometimes 3
And then when it came to the pre lim final
We played our worst game of the season
It was a chance for us to play our first grand final together
But then after halftime the comeback was on Hos our coach gave us a massive spray
And our heads where finally in the game we kicked 5 goals and 2 points in the 3rd qtr
And where only 2 goals down
In the 4th qtr Sebas kicked the first goal but the in the last 10 minutes we kicked two goals
We were only 5 points down after playing ruck all game they moved me into full forward
When the ball was in the back line will Maher kicked down to pat Corbett as pat runs down the wing he fends off one and another takes 3 bounces and kicks a long bomb to Kennedy
He is standing on the fullbacks shoulders and takes a great mark before the final siren
Mal Kennedy goes back and launches a great looking drop punt from about 30 metres out
As it goes through the big sticks the team could taste success
And we could smell glory
