I dive down to find out.

Tiptoe. “Hello?” I ask, wondering if anyone is around, with fear around me.

Darkness surrounds me.

I walk around, stepping on the crunchy leaves.

Crunch, crunch, the leaves disintegrate.

The eavesdropping silence occurs.

I explore some more, just in case there’s a problem.

Crack. It seems that I’ve stepped on a stick.

I decide to go straight while it was late. Crack. Crack.

“Oh, it looks like a trail,” I think to myself as the sticks dash ahead of me.

As the trail ends, I stare in horror like it was a dead body on Halloween night.
