Forest of Tranquility

The serenity smothers me,

Filling my lungs with the scent of wildlife,

The atmosphere so peaceful, I start to fall asleep

The cool press of the dirt under my feet,

The presence of wildlife calms me,

Koalas crawl up trees,

Birds sing intricate melodies,

Possums scurry across the ground,

The moist, humid air puts me in a kind of trance,

Completely in tune with the environment,

Leaves fall from trees in graceful patterns,

Gently fluttering to the ground,

Their smooth touch on my skin,

A stark contrast to the rough bark,

The abundance of silence is beautiful,

Time slows as a waterfall trickles methodically in the distance,

No more problems, life is simple.
