Forest Poem

Trees,
Full of memories
Old and new,
Bitter and sad
Seen too many wars,
And so much grief

Not a single living animal in this dark land
Nightmares live on while love dies
The sadness is overpowering,
Casting yawning shadows over this forgotten forest

The once blue sky,
Now midnight black

Darkness is welcome
Light is forbidden
All is lost
