Forests

The rivers rush, the sun shines, the trees grow, it smells like pine

The animals run free, how I wish that was me

I run through the willows, the green blazing around my face

I wish someone would understand how important the forest is

People cut the trees to make farms and barns

Trees make food like olives, coconuts, walnuts too

Your friends eat them as much as me and you

The trees make wood for important things but the growing trees need to stay

The greenery of the trees is disappearing like the warmth of summer

The people that cut them must go away

The forest must stay, it's part of the earth

It's important because we need oxygen to breathe

Now you know how very important it is to look after the trees!
