Raindrops fall through the trees

Landing gently onto the leaves,

Waterfalls gushing down

Making pools across the ground.

Plants and bushes grow so high

Trees almost touch the sky.

Now forgotten!

Soon people arrived

Cut down what could’ve thrived

One by one, they disappear

When the birds see, they fly in fear

Many animals cry all day,

It wasn’t meant to be this way

But still, they don’t feel guilt

Forest life is overbuilt

We feel the end is drawing near

But still, it continues to disappear.
