This plant, once there,

Now gone, none to spare.

Its enchanting petals,

Now its classification settles,

Extinct.

Extinct, such a harsh word,

For this fragile flower, unheard.

Wild, they say

so, they swipe it away.

It’s pink and purple leaves,

From now, to the future,

Only a fake.

A lie.

Used to be found here, in Aussie.

Now, in our fantasies.

Gone.

No one laughing anymore,

too shocked, to ignore.

Gone and never seen again.
