Frogs

Plip plop drip drop
Evening sunset glimmers
As the river shimmers
Slippery silver nets tucked into riverbeds and blankets of moss
The buzzing dragonflies hover on reeds
Dewdrops scattered on webs like beads
As I hop
My flippers flop
Sun starts to drop
But we don’t stop
To sing
The ancient song
Of the frogs
