In the light of the moon

A little egg lay on a leaf

It was due to hatch soon

It was near a little reef

A crack ran across the egg

and out came a tiny leg

A small body came out

through a tedious little rout

The caterpillar started its path

through its might, dangerous life

In the rain he took a bath

that felt like lethal scythe

He wrapped himself in a cocoon

a little like a womb

He wished that he could fly

and turned into a butterfly!
