From Earth to Me

From shovel to dirt,
Dirt to stone.
The white cracks of a broken heart form.
Quiet like the caves it lives in.
Countless secrets behind the soil,
Kept in the hearts of many citizens,
Cemented in stone.
As gravity pulls the sun down past the hills behind.
My rose quartz;
Freedom, friendship, family
Is waiting to be found.
Silhouetted miners emerge from the golden flame behind them,
Shovels reflecting the painted sky.
Soil fills the air.
From shovel to dirt,
Dirt to stone
A rose quartz is found through the beaming light of one torch.
My heart turned towards the painted sky,
A perfect match.
Between freedom, friendship and family.
