He was a shadow
she was a ghost.
He hid in the shadows
She hid in plain sight
He wanted someone to relate to
He found her, the ghost
She could relate to him
They day that changed everything
Was the day the shadow kissed the ghost

He died fighting for justice
A tear slips down her pale cheek
The ghost knows she has lost everything
Her love
Her happiness
Her purpose to remain
The day later, they find the ghost
She has gone to join her shadow
Without her shadow she wasn’t whole
She had no purpose without her shadow
Walking past their place is hard
You can still hear echoes of the ghost
Mourning
Mourning for her shadow
That day she lost everything
The day after she found everything again
In one form
Her shadow
Without him she had no purpose
No reason
Nothing to keep her here
So, she left
To join her shadow in the clouds
Forever
