Feet stamp in rhythm.
Knees vibrate and shuffle.
Earth spirit marked.
Elders' boomerangs clack in ancient time.
Glossy Black swerves, dips and curves.
Lifts and twists.
Raucous and rowdy.
Calling rain from bulbous bill.
Glossy Black crackle, dancing in the dust.
Stamping out living story in no time.
Dreaming of the black and red and yellow.
Thunder and rain.
Across the bushland, cries from the she-oak.
Dust rises.
Rumbling, rising, blackening, and blooming.
Garrall flies across sacred sky.
Partnered for life.
Bird and sky.
Ochre drips.
Boomerangs beat with cockatoo rain.
