Here, there, and everywhere,

Not a second to spare,

I can’t help but look into your deep eyes,

Watching intently, trying to analyse,

Such a shame,

And we’re all to blame,

But you’ll be gone,

And you won’t get to see my newborn,

But she will know all about you,

About how fast you are, and petite too,

She will learn how you could make anyone smile,

And yet I’m still in denial,

Of how I could lose you,

And I can’t believe its true,

But for now I will observe your every move,

So I can learn what to improve,

And all the future generations will know you,

And how I watch you fly into the blue,

I hope you enjoy the thrill,

And goodbye Slender-Billed Thornbill.
