The gum trees sway slow,

Reaching up to the sunburnt sky,

A quiet dance at dusk,

Kookaburras chuckle,

Their voices fading with the day,

As nightfall drapes the earth.

Corroboree frog calls out low,

Seeking the night's quiet company,

As the bush hums with evening's pulse,

Leaves dryly whisper,

Under the calmness of the starry sky,

Goodnight Australia.
