Gouldian Finch

A combination of rainbow colours
Brightening up entire woodlands
Sounds of hissing, low pitched clicking
Singing away every minute
Native to our Australian home
We see them as creatures colourful
But little do we know the truth
Their flocks are full of dying birds
Despite the ripe and ready seeds
Their cheerfulness no longer feeds
So let's all do our proper deeds
To save the sky - away they sway
Critically endangered
We can do better
Preserve our Earth
And her creatures.
