Gouldian Finch

As I watch the tropical savanna woodland,

amongst the grassy understorey, the Gouldian Finch Peeks at me,

I feel sad that this majestic wonderful bird is endangered,

With majestic wings of colour they fly up to the tallest tree,

as the sky deepens to a dark blanket to give the land a good night's sleep and the stars emerge from their hiding, Gouldian Finch flies away, 

and I sit alone in the forest.
